As an expectant mother, there are many decisions you will need to make and one of the most immediate is whether or not you want to breast-feed your baby. Breast-feeding, or nursing, is a natural phenomenon that not only benefits the newborn child, but his or her mother as well. Breast milk is the only nourishment your child will need for the first four to six months of his or her life. Once your infant starts on cereals and other foods, it is recommended that you continue breast-feeding in addition to feeding your child these foods.
