They stole her 'legs'

To the person that stole my sister, Kim Gayleard's wheelchair, you may have stolen her "legs," you may have stolen her independence, but you did not steal her spirit (Maryland Gazette, Sept. 27).

As her sister, it is my job to protect her and I was angry that someone would have the audacity to steal a wheelchair. Obviously a wheelchair equals a disabled person and you knew you were taking something of precious value to a person that cannot walk.
