55th Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. David Young Jr. of Brooklyn celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with a dinner at the Rose Restaurant.

The former Wilma Avery and David Young Jr. were married by the Rev. John L. Leary Sept. 13, 1954, at Community Baptist Church.

Mr. Young worked at W. R. Grace for 30 years before retiring in 1993.

Mrs. Young retired in 1998 after 30 years with Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

The Youngs have lived in Brooklyn for 70 years and are members of Community Baptist Church.
