Cheerleaders at Northeast High School are showing their support for Shawn Reichenberg, a senior battling Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders have been sporting purple ribbons in their hair at school sporting events in honor of Shawn. He was diagnosed with stage-three Hodgkin's lymphoma this spring, and is undergoing radiation treatment next month.

He plans to return to school in January.
