Panthers surprise South River, 30-14

Annapolis coach Brian Brown thought his team could beat South River heading into the teams' meeting last night in Edgewater.

Turns out he was right.

Sophomore Demond Brown had 107 yards on 20 carries and scored a touchdown, while the offensive line triggered a pair of dominating, second-half drives in a 30-14 win that spoiled the Seahawks' homecoming.

"The difference this year is we expect to win," Brian Brown said. "When you expect to win, things are going to happen in a game, but we just come right back and do what we do."
