Linthicum: Anti-crime initiative to start e-mail updates soon

E-mail alerts about crime in Linthicum will soon be showing up in the electronic mailboxes of residents who signed up to participate in the program.

Sheryl Parks, a Linthicum resident and member of the Core Organizing Group of the anti-crime initiative, says e-mails should begin going out in the next couple of weeks. There is no specific date set, but a Web site about crime updates in the community also should be available soon.

Last year a number of shed break-ins, robberies and other incidents raised concerns about crime. At a COG organizational meeting last spring, between 300 and 400 people signed up to get e-mails to keep...
