Two north county middle schools are off the state's improvement list after hitting required benchmarks on the Maryland School Assessment for the second year in a row, according to figures released this week. Marley Middle School in Glen Burnie is off the list after failing to meet state targets on the MSA reading test in four different demographic categories, and missing the mark in one category on the math exam, two years ago. Lindale Middle School in Linthicum, which missed benchmarks in two different categories in both 2005 and 2006, is also off the state's school improvement list after increasing students' reading scores...
