Melvin Ackerman

Melvin Gerald Ackerman, 68, a resident of Glen Burnie and insurance and real estate broker, died Aug. 13 at Prince George's Hospital Center from injuries sustained in a July 14 motorcycle accident.

Mr. Ackerman was born Jan. 3, 1940, in Baltimore and was raised in Pasadena.

He was an insurance agent for the Bay Area Insurance Group and a real estate broker for Bay Area and Associates Realty.

He was a member of the Bay Area Community Church.

Mr. Ackerman enjoyed yachting, watching car races and racing cars.
