Card store robbed

A man with a gun robbed a greeting card store in the Chesapeake Square Shopping center Thursday afternoon, county police said.

An employee of The Factory Card Outlet told police that at 3:47 p.m., a man in the store walked behind the counter, displayed a black handgun, pressed it to her side and stated, "Gimme all the money."

The robber threatened to shoot the victim if she didn't open the register. The victim said she opened the register and the robber fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police unsuccessfully searched the area for a black man in his mid 20s, 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

Street robbery

County police are looking for two men who confronted a man on Old Stage Road Thursday and took his wallet and cell phone.

The victim told police that about 11:30 p.m. two men approached him, displayed black handguns and demanded his cell phone and wallet.

The victim said both of his attackers were black and about 25 years old. The first was about 6 feet tall, and 185 pounds with a muscular build, short hair and dark complexion. He wearing a black New York Yankees baseball cap, a black T-shirt with a green Boston Celtics Jersey over it.

The second robber was 5-feet, 9-inches tall with a thin build and black hair. He wearing a black baseball cap, black T-shirt and blue jeans.

Delivery man robbed

A delivery man was robbed at a Glen Burnie gas station early Sunday morning, county police said.

At 3:30 a.m., an employee was unloading fuel at the Exxon gas station at 6701 Ritchie Highway, when a man with a handgun demanded money.

The employee handed over his cash and was not injured. The robber ran and could not be found by police.

He is described a white, from 35 to 40 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, with blond hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a red ball cap, blue shirt, blue pants and work boots.

Lawn gear stolen

The owner of a house on the 1000 block of Brockton Court reported $1,300 worth of lawn care equipment stolen on Friday, county police said.

The owner said he woke up to find the gate to his back yard and his shed doors open with some of the materials from inside the shed out on the yard. A lawn mower bagger, circular saw, power washer and mongoose bicycle were all missing from the shed, police said.

Golf shop theft

Someone took $2,500 worth of merchandise from the pro shop at the Arundel Golf shop at 1501 Dorsey Road, county police said.

The shop manager told police several irons and a pair of shoes were noticed missing on Friday. A hammer was found near a rear window that had been broken out, police said.

AC unit stripped

The superintendent of a building at 135 Roesler Road told police the air conditioning unit on the roof was stripped some time between July 25 and July 30, county police said.

The superintendent got call on July 29 that the air conditioning wasn't working. He got to the roof and saw that $5,000 worth of damage had been done to the unit, including removal of the compressor and coil, police said.

Shoplifting

Two people conspired to steal $1,239 worth of personal hygiene products from the Target at 7951 Nolpark Court on July 24, county police said

A security camera caught a white female selecting multiple boxes of razors and whitening strips and leaving them in a basket in the store. She then left and spoke to a white man outside the store.

The man then entered the store and grabbed the basket and was seen by a loss prevention officer running across the parking lot to a car that then sped off.

PASADENA

Cabbie robbed

County police have charged a Pasadena man with robbing a cab driver in Glen Burnie on Friday.

Police were called to Mansion House Crossing and 220th Street in Green Haven for a report of a robbery of a cab driver. The driver told police he picked up a man in Annapolis and drove him to several places before demanding payment.

When the cab driver tried to call police, the passenger took his cell phone and fled.

Police searched the area and arrested Lawrence Montague, 19, of the 8000 block of Catherine Avenue. He was charged with robbery, assault, misdemeanor theft and resisting arrest.

HANOVER

Computer stolen

A man living on the 7200 block of Boscastle Lane told county police that someone stole $1,120 worth of computer equipment Friday night.

The man said someone broke out the passenger side window of his Chevy Silverado overnight and took his Dell laptop computer along with a case and a wireless card were missing from the car, county police said.

BROADNECK

Armed robbery

County police charged a man from Severn and another from Glen Burnie with armed robbery Monday night after officers spotted them driving on Ritchie Highway minutes after the crime.

At just after 7 p.m., a man, 21, reported he'd been robbed in the 1800 block of Milvale Road on the lower Boradneck Peninsula.

He said two young men held him up at gunpoint, then jumped in a red Honda Prelude that was lowered to the ground and drove away. Soon after, an officer saw a Honda that matched the description. It was traveling north on Ritchie Highway when the officer pulled it over on a felony traffic stop.

The victim identified the two people as the men who robbed him, police said. While searching the men, officers found cash and a cell phone that had been taken during the robbery, and the handgun used in the crime.

Robert Martin Sander, 20, of Myers Court in Severn, and Christopher Michael White, 19, of Covington Avenue in Glen Burnie, were each charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault, use of a handgun while committing a felony, theft over $500 and reckless endangerment.

Illegal activity

Anyone with information about illegal drug activity in Anne Arundel County can call the countywide drug hotline at 800-752-DRUG.

The answering machine is in operation 24 hours a day. Anonymity is honored.

The Northern District police station has a hotline and asks that anyone with information about a crime call 410-222-6139.

The Northern District covers Brooklyn Park and Glen Burnie, but police will take information on crimes in any area.

The hotline for the Eastern District police station, covering Pasadena, Severna Park, Arnold and part of Glen Burnie, is 410-766-7892.

The Western District police station also has a hotline. Anyone with information about a crime can call and leave message at 410-674-6613.
