EAGLES 11U: The Eagles will be using the fall season primarily to gain experience and instruction for the upcoming 2009 spring season and the transition to balks, leadoffs, dropped third strikes and the many more game changes from 10U to 11U baseball. Coaching staff consists of coaches with collegiate experience dedicated to pitching, catching, hitting and fielding. The Eagles' spring team will continue to play in the Baltimore Metro League and will play in many tournaments around the area and out of state to include Sports at the Beach in DE, Ripken Baseball, Triple Crown and BPA Tournaments. MARYLAND O'S: The 2009 Maryland Orioles 13U select baseball team will be holding open tryouts for the 2009 spring season in mid-to-late August (exact date/time of tryouts TBD). MAGIC ORANGE: Maryland Magic 14U-Orange will be forming a new and exciting team. The Maryland Magic softball program is one of the most elite recognized organizations in the country. REVOLUTION: The Riviera Beach Revolution girls 12U softball team is completing another successful season that will include a trip to the ASA Nationals. We will begin tryouts for the 2009 season on Aug. 23-24 at 5 p.m. at Rock Creek Park in Pasadena. The Revolution are an alternative to select players who cannot commit to an "A" Select program schedule. The Revolution plan to play one to two tournaments per month, participate in the Central Maryland League, and participate in a National World Series. LIGHTNING: The Lake Shore Lightning will begin initial tryouts for the 2009 season. The 2008 10U Lightning finished the regular tournament season with a 67-3 record, and playing in the NSA World Series in Columbus, Ohio. Initial tryouts will begin on Aug. 9 and 10 at noon, at Bodkin Park in Pasadena. The next tryout dates will be Aug. 17 and 24, both at Bodkin Park at 2 p.m. All positions are available.
