Midfielder Tyler Young (Gambrills-Odenton) scored a goal and dished off four assists to lead a contingent of North County All-Stars to an 11-3 victory over the Stockport Metros in the United States-England lacrosse exchange.
Attackman Donald Hallikas (Buccaneers) totaled two goals and an assist while attackman Jake Hesse (Bucs) and midfielder Andrew Matula (Chesapeake) contributed two goals apiece.
Sam Dame (Andover), Greyson Torain (GORC), John Surdick (GORC) and Gage Blottenger (Andover) also scored goals while Nick Amero (CYLA) contributed an assist.
Goalie Andrew Jones (GORC) made six saves in the first half while Mike Reigle (Bucs) stopped two shots in the second half. They got superb defense from Trey Busick (Brooklyn Park), Bryce Devine (CYLA), Garrett Fenzel (Bucs), Collin Kennedy (CYLA), Adam Shifflett (Brooklyn Park), Nate Schilling (GORC) and Jason Ziegler (Andover).
Josh Robinson scored two goals for the Metros.
The North County All-Stars were comprised of players from the Andover Apaches, Brooklyn Park Broncos, Chesapeake Youth Lacrosse Association, Gambrills-Odenton Recreation Council and Pasadena Buccaneers. Other players selected were Zach Buhl (midfield, Broncos), Chris Clift (midfield, Broncos), Logan Fate (attack, GORC), Logan Hill (midfield, GORC), Evan Jones (midfield, GORC), Matt Michalski (midfield, Bucs) and Niko Ware (midfield, Andover).
