Robbery arrest

County police charged a Glen Burnie man on Tuesday with trying to rob three people near a mobile home park at gunpoint.

Shortly after 9 p.m., police were called to the Chesapeake Mobile Estates for a report of a man with a gun. Officers spoke with three people who said while they were on a nearby path a man pointed a silver handgun in their face.

The man fled, but police later captured him in the 1800 block of Meade Village Circle in Severn.

Police charged Michael Hood, of the 600 block of New Jersey Ave. N.E., with 13 offenses including assault, reckless endangerment, handgun violations and drug offenses.

Home invasion

A mugger chased his victim back into his apartment in the Meadedale neighborhood, holding the man and his roommate at gunpoint until they turned over some cash.

Western District officers were called to 2004 Military Place on Thursday for a complaint of a robbery that had occurred the night before. The victim said he was outside his apartment when a man asked if he wanted to buy marijuana before pulling a small black automatic handgun from his waistband and demanding money.

The victim told police he ran back into his apartment with the gunman following. The victim and his roommate were held at gunpoint inside until they turned over money.

The robber was described as a black man, 5-feet, 7-inches to 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a medium complexion and a medium build. He had distinctive green eyes and short braided hair.
