The program is open to children ages 4 to 12 and will include puppets introducing each night's theme and music, Bible stories, memory verses and games. Prizes and memorabilia will be awarded to every child.

The church is located at Westfield and Midland roads, in the Margate community. Take Furnace Branch Road to Margate Drive and follow it less than a mile before turning right onto Westfield Road.

Multi-class reunion

A reunion picnic of Glen Burnie High School's classes of 1956 to 1967 will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Elks Lodge at 160 Truck House Road in Severna Park.

Tickets cost $40 for adults and $18 for children ages 6 to 10. There is no charge for children younger than age 6. Inside seating is available for the first 350 paid reservations. Seating for an additional 100 people is available under a pavilion outside.

The menu includes steamed and fried shrimp, pit beef, fried chicken, hot dogs, assorted side dishes, cake, beer, wine and soda. A partial cash bar will also be available.

A disc jockey will provide music.

Preschool and VBS

Messiah United Methodist Church's Preschool still has openings for the 2008-09 school year.

The church offers a program for 2-year-olds that meets two days a week for a monthly fee of $105, a program for 3-year-olds that meets three days a week for a monthly fee of $135 and a program for 4-year-olds that meets five days a week for a monthly fee of $190. There is also a $40 per child registration fee.

The school has academic and religious themes that change each month. The children will have the opportunity to spend time with the church's pastor, play on the playground and explore learning games on a computer network.

Toilet training is not required to attend the school.
