One of the 2008 Baltimore Playwrights Festival winning entries, "Keeping Faith," will run at the Studio 194 Theater in the Chesapeake Arts Center on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from July 17 through Aug. 2.
All showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for arts center members and $12 for nonmembers.
"Keeping Faith" is the story of an abducted bride-to-be and her detainment in an Arkansas hotel room as her fiance and the police pursue her in this untraditional family comedy.

Critters and crocodiles
Young children and toddlers will enjoy an interactive story time with music, movement, comedy and puppetry at the Brooklyn Branch of the Encoh Pratt Free Library at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow. This presentation by Candy and Cupcake is geared toward children ages birth to 2.

Rainforest Adventure
St. John Lutheran Church, 22 Washburn Ave., will host a vacation Bible school in the evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. from July 28 through Aug. 1.
This year's theme is "The Rainforest Adventure."
Children will hear stories, make crafts, play games and learn rainforest-themed songs during their time at the vacation Bible school. Each day will offer a new Bible story to explore through fun activities.

Yard Retiree's luncheon
The next meeting of the Coast Guard Yard Retirees' Association will be held at The Olive Tree restaurant in Glen Burnie on July 17.
The luncheon will begin at approximately 12:35 p.m. and will be followed by a short meeting. All association members, their spouses, surviving spouses and current Coast Guard Yard employees are invited to attend.
