Olde Mill-Millersville: It's time to sign up for football, cheerleading camps

In preparation for the 2008 season, the Old Mill Youth Association will hold registrations, camps and conditioning clinics for area youth at the Southgate Old Mill Park, 8226 Elvaton Road, near Oakwood Road. Registration information and forms are available online at www.leaguelineup.com/omya.
Registrations for football and cheerleading participants will be accepted from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sundays. For details or forms, call Jenn Adams at 443-722-8527 or Laura Scott at 443-802-7166.

Students ages 12 to 14 interested in participating in the 2008 football season are invited to attend a free conditioning clinic from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. For more information, contact Art Saumenig at 443-992-4996 or send an e-mail to omyasecretary@yahoo.com.

An Old Mill 2008 What's Important Now Youth Football Camp will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. July 16 to 19 at Old Mill Southgate Park.

Campers will learn the fundamentals of football for offensive and defensive positions. There will be individual and group drills provided by high school coaches and teachers. The camp is hosted by Damian Ferragamo, head football coach at Old Mill High School; Vincent Elliott, defensive coordinator at Arundel High School; and the football staff and varsity players at Old Mill High School.

Farm program

Kinder Farm Park will offer "Down on the Farm," a program for children and adults interested in learning about the livestock that is cared for by the 4-H members of the park at 6:30 p.m. July 16.

Advanced registration is required. Children ages 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants will meet at the main parking lot. The group will take a walk through the park's barns to see the animals.

The park is located at 1001 Kinder Farm Park Road.

Revival

An old-fashioned camp meeting revival is scheduled for July 21 to 27 at the Apostolic House of Prayer Church, 413 Headquarters Drive, Suite 3.

Each morning will begin with a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. followed by vacation Bible school class at 9 a.m.

The week of activities will include workshops, guest speakers, musical performances, and praise and worship services.
