Pasadena: 'Grease' is word at Chesapeake Bay Middle

"Grease" is the word at Chesapeake Bay Middle School, 4804 Mountain Road, as the drama club, under the direction of Angela Wallace and Christina Prince presents the popular musical at 7 p.m. tomorrow and Friday and at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Everyone is invited to see this popular 1950s story.

Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students.

High Point news

The High Point Elementary PTA general membership meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow in the media center. Members can reflect on the past year and present new ideas for the coming year.

Grandparents or special friends are invited to the school at 924 Duvall Highway from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday for a day of celebration.

State's Attorney Frank R. Weathersbee will be the guest speaker at the Stoney Creek Democratic Club's next open house at 8 p.m. this evening.

Winning teacher

Gibson Island Country School science teacher, Tim Decker recently earned an honorable mention in Lands' End's "Teachers Light the Way" contest.

Mr. Decker, a former woodworking teacher from the Asheville, N.C., school district, transferred to the school and has been teaching there for one year. He was one of 45 teachers receiving awards nationwide and was nominated by student Natalee Huber as a teacher who made a difference in a student's life, school or community.
