It will be a guy's day in the kitchen when the Men's Group of Brooklyn Heights United Methodist Church serves up an "all-you-can-eat" breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the church hall, at 110 Townsend Ave.
The breakfast costs $3 for adults and $2 for seniors and children younger than 10. The "manly menu" includes eggs, sausage, pancakes, hash brown potatoes, coffee and orange juice.

Northern police
The Northern District Police Community Relations Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. today for an update on police matters in north county and to hear a talk by a judge from the state's Special Court of Appeals.
County Police Capt. Joseph Jordan will give an update to the community on activities in the district.
The meeting will be held at the district station at 939 Hammonds Lane.

Spring luau
Break out the grass skirts and flowery shirts for the Brooklyn Park Youth Athletic Association's spring dance and luau from 7 p.m. to midnight on May 16 at the Roland Terrace Democratic Club hall at 619 Matthews Ave.

The menu includes pit beef, turkey, smoked ham, steamed shrimp, crab soup, boneless pork ribs, lasagna, kielbasa sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, salads fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, dips, cakes, coffee, iced tea, beer and soft drinks.
A disc jockey will provide the music for the luau. Tickets are available from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday at the concession stand at the 10th Avenue baseball fields.

American Legion Post 34 will offer the stuffed chicken breast platter as the Friday night dinner special this week.

Deep Dalal and William Yap will discuss the signs and symptoms of arthritis and osteoporosis along with the latest treatment options during an informative panel discussion. A light dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. with the discussion beginning at 6 p.m.

The Brooklyn Park High School Class of 1958 is in the early stages of planning its 50-year reunion.
