Silas First Baptist Church of Severna Park will celebrate its 104th anniversary during worship services at 7:45 and 11:20 a.m. each Sunday this month.
Special services with guest speakers are planned for the anniversary celebration. Gwendolyn Young will be the guest speaker at 11:20 a.m. Sunday.

Spring concerts
It's time for spring concerts at area schools.

Men's conference
Area men are invited to participate in an annual two-day men's conference, including a Friday night worship service and Saturday morning talk session, this weekend at the Apostolic House of Prayer Church, 413 Headquarters Drive.
Elder Ernest Downs will be the keynote speaker at 7 p.m. Friday during the worship service.
A special Men's Only Day program will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday with a fellowship breakfast at a local restaurant. The group will return to the church following the breakfast for a special discussion session.

Nature hike
In celebration of the national No Child Left Inside initiative to help children become more active outdoors, Kinder Farm Park will sponsor a nature hike at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Park rangers will lead a group of students on a hike along the meadows and wooded trails at the park. Participants will search for birds, deer and other wildlife. The program is recommended for youth ages 8 to 13. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The group will meet at the park's youth group camping area. Advanced registration is required.

Flea market
Rain or shine, the County Fairgrounds will host its annual spring flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Local vendors will sell new and used items, including household goods, toys, tools, garden equipment, computers and power tools. Additionally, there will be a host of commercial and party plan vendors participating.
The fairgrounds are located at 1450 Generals Highway.

Shrimp feast
The Ruth Parker Eason Home School Association will sponsor a Spring Fling shrimp feast from 6 to 10 p.m. May 16 at the Severna Park Elks Club Lodge, 160 Truck House Road.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday. The fundraiser will help purchase classroom supplies and motor and sensory equipment for its special needs children.
The feast will include an all-you-can-eat menu, featuring shrimp, fried chicken, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, beer and soda. Entertainment will include music by a disc jockey, a silent auction, raffles, games and prizes.
