Glen Burnie East: Color guard hosts Mom's Day basket bingo

A Mothers' Day basket bingo, sponsored by the Glen Burnie High School Indoor Color Guard, will be held May 11 at Monsignor Slade Catholic School at 120 Dorsey Road. The doors will open at 1 p.m. and the games will begin at 2 p.m.
Tickets cost $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

The event will feature 20 regular games, special games and door prizes.

Refreshments will be sold.

Neighborhood watch

The Point Pleasant-Shoreland Neighborhood Watch will meet at 7 p.m. and The Point Pleasant-Shoreland Improvement Association will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 1451 Furnace Ave.

It is not necessary to be a member of PPSIA to attend the Neighborhood Watch meeting.

Library meeting room

Artwork, babies and a plethora of meetings will take place this month in the North County Area library's meeting room.

Mixed media art works created by students at Monsignor Slade Catholic School will be displayed in the room through May.

Babies in Bloom will be held in meeting room at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

In addition to stories, the program includes songs, rhymes and fingerplays designed to stimulate early infant development.

It is intended for toddlers and infants, ages 24 months and younger, and their parents or caregivers.

A discussion of issues and concerns related to caring for children ages 5 and younger will be hosted by representatives from Tots Line immediately following.

The following groups will also be using the meeting room during the remainder of the month:
