Women's Chorus
The College of William and Mary Women's Chorus will perform in concert at 8 p.m. on March 29, at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 400 Benfield Road in Severna Park.

The ensemble's conductor, Dr. Jamie Bartlett, will direct a repertoire consisting of pieces sacred and secular, ancient and modern. The concert is free and open to the public.

Harmony Chorus

The award-winning Chesapeake Harmony Chorus invites the public to attend its Friends and Family benefit performance 8 p.m. March 28 at Baldwin Hall, 1348 Millersville Road in Millersville.

There is no charge for attendance, but a donation to Sarah's House is required. Some of the items needed are large-sized disposable diapers, paper plates, cups, napkins, toilet paper, powdered drink mixes, baby wipes, coffee, sugar, over-the-counter medications, children's sneakers, alarm clocks, canned fruit or cash.

Fish Fry

The O'Malley Senior Center and Annex, 1275 Odenton Road in Odenton, will host a fish fry at noon on March 28 at the senior center.

Cost is $6. Tickets must be purchased by Tuesday. The menu includes fresh fried fish, home-made potato salad, hush puppies, coleslaw and more.

Family Reading

Pasadena Early Learning Center, 61 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena. will host a family reading night from 6 to 8 p.m. March 28.

The theme will be all-star readers, and the evening promises to be great fun. Dine on hot dogs and nachos, attend a book fair, listen to guest readers and more. There also will be a silent auction with items donated by parents and local businesses.

All proceeds will go towards purchasing new play kitchen equipment for the classrooms.

The school also has slots open for its 3- and 4-year-old programs for the 2008-2009 school year.

Cheerleading

Glen Burnie High School will be hosting a cheer clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 12 at the high school.

The event is open to all youth ages 6 to 14. The cost is $25.

Board of Education

The next meeting of the Anne Arundel County Board of Education will be held at 7 p.m. today, in the Board Room at the Parham Building, 2644 Riva Road, in Annapolis.

All Board of Education meetings are open to the public.

Worship change

Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 7606 Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie, will change its Sunday Worship schedule as of March 30 from two services to one service. The new times will be 9 a.m. Sunday school and 10:30 a.m. service with Holy Communion.

'Pirates of Penzance!'

Archbishop Spalding Theatre at 8080 New Cut Road in Severn will present "The Pirates of Penzance!"

This new musical adaptation by William Elliott brings Gilbert and Sullivan's classic masterpiece to life. Performances will be at 7 p.m. April 4, 6, 11 and 12 and at 2 p.m. April 6

Tickets are $8 at the door. Refreshments will be available during intermission.
